In 1972, the Young family hosted a discussion event sponsored by the Haverford Township League of Women Voters. The event was meant to discuss the Tocks Island Project, a project that, from the 1950s, planned to Dam the Delaware River and used many instances of eminent domain to complete the project. It was evidently controversial and ceased all efforts to build it in 2002.

The Youngs sold the home in 1996 to the Anstee family for $163,900. They themselves sold the home in 2018 for $490,000.
